Hello! Please tells us about yourself, your raid experience (old content and new ), and what Role you are applying for.: My name is Josiah, I am 18, and I live in Connecticut. Currently I am a part time student commuting to and from a local college on Mondays and Wednesdays. I play WoW because I used to play back when TBC was released, and I ended up quitting at the end of WotLK because I didn't have the time to raid. The WoD ads and promotion videos piqued my interest in WoW once more, so I bought a new account 10 days before the expansion came out. Prior to this, I had been playing Starcraft 2 for two years, and was (and still most definitely would be) a top 16 Grandmaster on the NA ladder, and I was around top 40-50 on the EU ladder. I dropped SC2 and picked up WoW because SC2 is at a low point currently (many people have been calling it a "dead game"), and the gameplay has been stale as of late. I will most likely return to SC2 when the next expansion is released, but it will be a long time before that happens.
My only previous PvE experience is from TBC and WotLK on my paladin (ret/holy). I cleared all of the raids in TBC except for BT, Sunwell, and Tempest Keep. In WotLK I cleared everything up until ICC, where I didn't get far before I decided to quit. I did all of this in pugs, as I couldn't make large time commitments (I was in middleschool/highschool during this period).
I am applying for a dps role, as my main is a Subtlety/Combat Rogue, but I also have a hunter and a priest that I PvP on.

Please link a speed test (speedtest.net or similar [server: Dallas, Texas]) and tell us about your computer:: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4108429542 Processor: Intel i7 2600k
Videocard: Nvidia GTX 560
OS: Windows 7
Hard Drive: 2TB
I don't usually run into problems with my computer. It doesn't have any trouble keeping up during big fights, and I don't have problems with random disconnects or anything of that sort.
Please tell us about your character (i.e. Spec, Stat priority, Playstyle): I play Combat/Subtlety Rogue, and I will switch specs depending on the fight (single target = Subtlety, multitarget = Combat). I use Combat in most Highmaul fights though, as there aren't many single target fights to be found and all of the gear has haste on it. Combat priority: haste>multistrike>mastery>versatility>crit, Subtlety priority: multistrike>mastery>crit>versatility>haste. I don't think that there is much room for any flashy or special playstyles in WoW (from my limited experience), so I would just describe mine as a playstyle that just maximizes dps and minimizes damage taken (through use of feint mostly, and cloak of shadows).
We raid Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7 to 10 server (Central). Do you have any issues with this schedule? If so, please list them.: That is mostly fine with me. Tuesday and Thursday I would be able to make it on time and for the entire time, but on Wednesday I have a class that ends at 8:50 EST, so I would probably get online at about 9:15 EST.
What is the reasoning behind your profession choices? Are you willing to change them to min/max? : Enchanting - so I can enchant new gear that I or someone else gets on the fly. Leatherworking - I used it to get some money, but all the crafted leather/mail isn't worth the effort for how much they are currently worth. I would be willing to change them if there was a good reason to, I just don't think professions mean much in WoD so far.
Tell us what you are looking for in the following : Raid Team, Raid Leader, Guild, and Server.: I am looking for a guild of competent and progression driven players that is able to be successful in the higher levels of current content. Being 6/7M shows me that there is clearly competency and effectiveness within your guild and raiding team, and it is also a goal of mine to be able to make it to the final boss on mythic for whatever the current content is, and I know that I am capable of performing at this level in a raid environment.
The main thing that I am looking for in a raiding team is a high standard of performance that everyone is expected to uphold so that goals can be accomplished efficiently. In a perfect scenario, everyone would do their part to be prepared for fights (mainly by looking them up in the dungeon journal and using video guides), be on time and focused, and be skilled enough to belong in the group. I'd like to get as close to sort of group as I can.
The main thing that I expect of a raid leader is that they are willing to do the right thing, and not tend to be partial to friends. It's their job to make sure that everyone is following the plan, and if people don't, then they need to be benched/replaced/ineligible for loot, etc. I wouldn't want a raid leader to be afraid of giving criticism or punishment to people that need it.
Tell us why you are currently looking for a new guild to call home.: My current guild is progressing far too slowly in my opinion (2/7M), and there aren't any other options in my battlegroup. Most of the raid team blunders through new fights blindly, even though there are guides to watch and read that can teach you everything that you need to know about Highmaul mythic fights. I am always ready, even without ever having done the fight before, and it's frustrating for me to show up and have 2.5 hours wasted on raid nights where people are dying to the first Call of Tides on Brackenspore every pull, dying to the fire and shield charge on Twins, etc. I am really excited about Blackrock Foundry, and I really want to have good experiences in it, so I don't think that my current guild is the right place for me.
Aside from the obvious, Tell us what you bring to the team.: I am very capable and aware, as well as consistent and prepared. I pick things up very quickly and am very adaptable. Most of this comes from my Starcraft experience where I would be performing around 200+ actions per minute, carefully following builds and structure placement plans, and much more. There are many moments where there needs to be quick decisive action, and it is a game that is won and lost by seconds, milliseconds, mere pixels. Another thing that I picked up from Starcraft aside from mechanical skills is having thick skin, and always being open to criticism. I believe that all of my skills from Starcraft have transferred over to WoW, as I think that there are many aspects of WoW that align themselves almost identically with Starcraft. However, I have to accept that it's hard for a 6/7 or 7/7 guild to trust someone that is 2/7 (whatever the circumstances) will have the proper level of competency to raid alongside them as a core raider. After all, I wouldn't expect a WoW player to understand what top level Starcraft is like if they don't really know much about Starcraft to begin with (which apparently most don't), even though it's really all I have to prove my competency.
How soon would you be able to join the guild if given a spot?: I would server transfer and be able to join immediately.
